Tax Day
Well, it's April 15th - Tax Day. I'm finally filing my taxes, last, but not completely last minute, as I could file for an extension. Problems are- I need to file my FAFSA, which I can only do after my federal taxes are files, and I've already completed the form, so filing for an extension would be pointless.
So I'm looking at a federal tax return of $133. Basically everything that was withheld.
From the State, I only had $35 withheld, which I am donating to the various causes:
* $20 to the NJ Breast Cancer Research Fund, because my mom overcame it thanks to other peoples' help.
* $10 to the NJ Endangered Wildlife Fund, because I'm a closet tree-hugging hippie or something like that.
* $5 to the NJ Prostate Cancer Research Fund, because prostate cancer sucks ass too.
Now, I just hope they don't audit my ignorant ass for doing something stupid.

One of the things I regret doing is reducing my taxable income by reporting my contribution to USO for their Beef Jerky program. Great blog! Keep it up.
Actually, what I meant to say was the one thing I regret about NOT doing my taxes is NOT being able to report the contribution.
