Dressed to impress

Here's another one about commercials.

Have you ever payed attention to how people in commercials are dressed? Two examples for you:

1) Wal-Mart (otherwise known as "the Evil Empire Across the Street"), has this commercial, which does nothing to more to make me want to shop there than the cheap junk they sell. In it, they try to explain to us average Joes what's involved in sending a box of ginger ale (I shit you not) to your local Death-Mart. Er, I mean Wal-Mart. Near the end of it, you see the first person on the line, dressed in the familiar blue shirts that their retail monkeys wear. Now, why on earth would some poor guy making minimum wage, moving heavy boxes around all day long, in a hot and humid warehouse be wearing something like that, looking like he just got out of three days in a spa?

2) Better than that is a commercial by a telephone-based drug retailer. It's a simple commercial for a great (in theory) service. Pick up the phone, tell them you're out of your diabetes supplies or such, they send it to you. They presented their help-center, where cheery people dressed in pharmacist robes manned rows of phones, and played with breathing assistance devices. Ok- they're wearing robes??? Jeez. There should be fines for that.
